Just my memories as I remember them. As life goes on we tend to forget. Life with my two sons was sometimes good - sometimes not so good - but - always memorable

"You said One Thing Mommy"
I had received a bonus at work and wanted to buy Christopher a special toy, no matter what the price. He was about 4. I took him to a toy store and before we started I knelt down and said "This is what we're going to do. We'll walk all around then decide on one big toy" He replied "OK one thing Mommy." We went up and down every aisle, some twice. I don't remember how long it took but when we got back to the door I again knelt down and asked Christopher what he wanted. With his finger in his mouth he told me "I don't know." I mentioned somethings I thought he would like and he said no. I remembered he liked the Little People (kind of like weebles) so I asked about them and his eyes lit up. We went to that aisle and they had sets, (ie backyard set, farm set, school). I pulled one off the shelf and said this is like Grandma's backyard with the pool, beach chairs, etc. He took that one out of my hand and he said he wanted it. I said look there's other sets too what about them? Clutching the backyard set to his chest he reminded me "You said one thing mommy." They were like $7. "I know Christopher we get both." "No, one thing mommy." I had a feeling this had a lot to do with the fact that when we went shopping I would let him get one thing. I had ladies looking at me telling me they couldn't believe what they were hearing. lol I had to sneak the other sets and a people on a motorcycle up to the clerk and give them to Christopher at different times.
